Dapo had the honor and privilege of performing on stage with David Foster and the incredible, Italian tenor, Andrea Bocelli, at the Kodak Theater (Hollywood, CA) last night. The performance was for the David Foster/Andrea Bocelli PBS Special, “My Christmas” which was taped in front of a (packed) live audience and will air on PBS on December 1, 2009. (Dapo is pictured below backstage with his manager, Tom Maffei.)

Dapo spent a week in country music’s songwriting capital, NASHVILLE, TN taking part in a Songwriting Camp sponsored by Universal Music Group. Dapo was joined by his fellow Los Angeles songwriters: Brian Kennedy (“Disturbia”/Rhianna), James Fauntleroy (“No Air”/Jordin Sparks, Chris Brown), Andre Merritt (“Disturbia”/Rhianna) and Claude Kelly (“Circus”/Britney Spears) as they attempted to bridge the gap between Los Angeles’ Pop/R&B writers with Nashville’s Country/Pop writers. (It was a success!)

Dapo jams out at the Big Fish Audio booth at NAMM on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009! For those who haven’t seen him perform live, this one’s for you!
When Legendary Bassist, Bill “The Buddah” Dickens stops by the Big Fish Audio booth the next day (Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009), it’s a no-brainer that Dapo and Bill will dive head first into a jam session. Only one problem, remember to bring extra batteries next time! The camera died at the end.
