This video was shot/edited by Lisa Murray. Lisa is the director of the documentary, “I Have Dreams, Dammit!” a film about the realities of pursuing a dream. Dapo is one of the subjects of the documentary and Lisa made a short video today while hanging out with Dapo in the studio.
Dapo wrote and produced two fun jazz songs on the new Princess and the Frog-inspired CD: Bayou Boogie: Inspired By Princess & Frog! Be sure to pick up your copy on March 16th! Dapo had a fun time in the studio with Princess Tiana herself (Anika Noni Rose) when they recorded “Everyday Princess” and “Sing Away Your Blues”!

In honor of Dapo’s 2-day writing session with David Archuleta (with @PriscillaRenea) coming to a successful close, we are posting a video of David singing “Running” from his debut album, DAVID ARCHULETA. (Dapo was one of the writers/producers on “Running”!) As we found out, David has the best fans out there, hands down!! They’re a positive bunch of supportive peeps! Dapo had a great session again today with Capitol Records recording artist, Priscilla Renea!
Justin Bieber’s debut album, MY WORLD, which was just released less than 2 months ago, has been certified PLATINUM by RIAA!! Woohoo!! This is just the beginning!! The second part of MY WORLD will be released in March and his first single off of the second release (song title: “Baby”) will be released in 7 days on iTunes! Go get em Justin! Congratulations is also in order for Dapo and all of the other producers/songwriters on the project!! 2010 is off to a great start!

Be sure to pick up a copy of Brandy’s HUMAN album which drops on Tuesday, December 9th – just in time for the holidays. I’ve had the opportunity to take an early listen and I have to say that I am very happy that BRANDY IS BACK! She has an incredible voice. I had the honor of being one of the writers/producers on one of the songs on this album: TORN DOWN. There is a leak of this song on the internet and it’s not the version that is on the album. The leaked version is in a lower key and sounds very different than the album version – but they both sound good to me! Brandy’s Back!
