Music producer, Dapo (Justin Bieber, John Legend, Brandy, David Archuleta) recently invited some friends to his studio and created his first Holiday album titled, “Dapo & Friends Christmas“. Most producers with a work ethic like Dapo’s know that making time for a project like this can be extremely challenging – but after taking a listen to entire album, it is certain his dedication turned out to be very rewarding.
The album is made of of 9 Christmas classics and one original, all produced & arranged by Dapo. “Dapo & Friends Christmas” features the vocal talent of friends: Max Schneider, Stacy Barthe, David Archuleta, Gaby Ramirez, Ginny Blackmore, Abraham McDonald, Nikki Flores, TC, Scotty Granger, and a jazz instrumental with himself (on multiple instruments) and with bassist, Robert “Bubby” Lewis.
Dapo personally considers this project very special and plans to take it a step further next year with “Dapo & Friends Christmas: Volume 2” followed up by hosting a Live Show that will benefit those in need during the Holiday Season. Enjoy!
Dapo took a break from the studio this afternoon to attend the “2010 Teen Choice Awards Talent Swag Social” at the London West Hollywood (Hosted by California Queen and benefiting the “Children of the Night” charity)
Jennifer Tapiero (StarCam Host) chatted with Dapo about what it’s like working with Demi Lovato (and about Demi’s “new sound”), his song with Matthew “Mdot” Finley “Fire” in Camp Rock 2, what it’s like working with the hottest pop star in the world, Justin Bieber (“Bigger” & “Overboard”), how cool is Jesse McCartney and his new hot dance song, “Up”, on the Step Up 3D soundtrack & in the movie (Step Up 3D hits theaters today!), and what it’s like to write with American Idol sweetheart, David Archuleta. We’ll post the interview as soon as it becomes available!
Miss California Teen USA (Emma Baker) tried out her interview chops with Dapo and they realized they have “Nigeria” in common when she heard he was from Nigeria, she revealed that her father is from Nigeria! It’s an interesting story and you’ll have to wait until the interview is released! (We’ll post a link!) Oh, and this interview was shot in 3D!! Perfect timing since today Step Up 3D hits theaters nation-wide!!

In honor of Dapo’s 2-day writing session with David Archuleta (with @PriscillaRenea) coming to a successful close, we are posting a video of David singing “Running” from his debut album, DAVID ARCHULETA. (Dapo was one of the writers/producers on “Running”!) As we found out, David has the best fans out there, hands down!! They’re a positive bunch of supportive peeps! The Billboard 200 debut, “American Idol” runner-up David Archuleta debuts at No. 2 with his self-titled 19 Recordings/Jive album on sales of 183,000.
