Writing session today with Lady V!
Dapo was in the studio again today with Oprah’s Karaoke Challenge Winner, Abraham McDonald! Oprah’s Karaoke Challenge received thousands of entries but there was only one winner, Abraham McDonald! As the winner, Abraham received $250,000 and a chance to record a song with music producer L.A. Reid’s label, Island Def Jam Music Group. Click here to watch Abraham on The Oprah Show on April 5th!

In honor of Dapo’s 2-day writing session with David Archuleta (with @PriscillaRenea) coming to a successful close, we are posting a video of David singing “Running” from his debut album, DAVID ARCHULETA. (Dapo was one of the writers/producers on “Running”!) As we found out, David has the best fans out there, hands down!! They’re a positive bunch of supportive peeps! Dapo had a great session again today with Capitol Records recording artist, Priscilla Renea!
Justin Bieber’s debut album, MY WORLD, which was just released less than 2 months ago, has been certified PLATINUM by RIAA!! Woohoo!! This is just the beginning!! The second part of MY WORLD will be released in March and his first single off of the second release (song title: “Baby”) will be released in 7 days on iTunes! Go get em Justin! Congratulations is also in order for Dapo and all of the other producers/songwriters on the project!! 2010 is off to a great start!
The song Dapo wrote and produced with David Foster and Olivia Newton-John is available on iTunes! Dapo was honored to not only work with two music legends, but to also work on a song for such a wonderful cause. The kids from PURPLE SONGS CAN FLY are children who have cancer and they are given an awesome opportunity to work with composers to write and record their own music.
